Missions & the Baptist Church Ministry Network
BCMN Missions is the endorsing, training, and coaching arm of the network. BCMN does not approve missionaries or process their funds. BCMN does work with missionaries who have been approved by a mission organization and who agree with BCMN's Statement of Faith and Biblical, Balanced, and Baptist philosophy to endorse them for churches of like practices. While the sending church is, and always will be, the authority of a missionary, BCMN Missions Endorsement can open doors for missionaries to churches and pastors who do not know them, their beliefs, or ministry plan. Pastors can be confident that a missionary with a BCMN Missions Endorsement is Biblical, Balanced, and Baptist.
A missionary earns BCMN endorsement by completing a Strategic Report. BCMN Missions works with the sending pastor and missionary to complete a Strategic Report that is given by the missionary to supporting and potential supporting churches. It includes the missionary’s salvation experience, call to ministry, doctrinal statement, ministry plan, and agreement with BCMN’s statement of faith and philosophy. The Strategic Report is completed each year and signed by the missionary and sending pastor.
Church Planting Missionary
A church planting missionary is a missionary whose primary goal is to plant churches. He may establish and maintain other ministries such as schools, colleges, feeding centers, clinics, sports ministries and orphanages, but these all flow out from his church planting endeavors. A church planting missionary may not be divorced and remarried.
A support missionary is a missionary who is in a support role to a church planting missionary. They may be a part of a church planter’s ministry working in ministries such as the Sunday Schools, Ladies’ ministry, school, college, feeding center, clinic, sports ministry or orphanage. A support missionary may also be someone who coaches and trains missionaries.

Training: Missionary Communication Workshop
Missionary Communication Workshop is a five-day on-site workshop designed to help missionaries improve their speaking ability. Missionaries receive training in every aspect of communication including preaching, teaching, reporting to churches, presentations, Q&A’s, and support letters. Participants learn in morning classroom lessons, afternoon presentation preparation, and evening evaluated speeches. Missionaries who have attended the workshop report that the workshop gave them the tools they needed to give presentations that obtained the desired results. Both husbands and wives are encouraged to attend the workshop because they are both asked to give presentations in varying settings in a church.
Training: Financial Coaching
Finances are always stressful and are often cited as a leading cause of divorce in America. Finances can be even harder on a missionary couple because they must handle the funds for personal income and ministry income. Just because God has called a person or couple to be a missionary does not mean that they are gifted in money management. Lewis McClendon is a Certified Ramsey Solutions Financial Coach. He has the training to help missionaries identify problem areas in their finances, create a personal long term financial plan, and learn how to live on a budget that the couple works together to create and maintain.
